Hello and welcome to my little corner of the DeviantArt website.

This is my 1st journal entry EVER, not just on Deviant Art, but full stop, so please bear with me..

I've loved computer graphics/art since I owned a Commodore 64 and wrote my own graphics package on it, that might give away my age. I love computer graphics and could easily spend every waking hour messing & creating things. I'm a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to what software I use:-
I use Photoshop alot, sometimes nip into Corel photopaint. I've done alot of webdesign and have found myself addicted to Macromedia's Fireworks. I have messed about with some 3D stuff using Truespace, I have tried a few other packages, Maya, studio max, lightwave etc... but I feel I have become institutionalised to the simplicity of the truespace interface. I know to a semi proficient Maya user, you'll be shaking your head, and I agree, but I keep trying, but find the learning curve too steep. I like to see results, so I'm gonna have to sit down sometime when I have a few weeks spare (lol) and commit myself to making the step.

I'd really like to learn more about photography, I have a digital camera (Minolta, DiMAGE S414) a few years old now. The pictures I take seem to lack that certain something, probably talent, and I seem to spend ages in photo shop adjusting levels. Therefore I'm begging anyone out there with any tips, who happens upon this page, to please share them with me.
